1 Introduction

Domestic second language writing education needs to pay attention to its role in international communication, and currently there is insufficient attention to the social and political functions of writing. The article aims to analyze the new demands of international communication, explore the new mission of foreign language education, explore the new functions of second language writing, propose new ideas for cultivating foreign language talents to enhance their international communication abilities, and serve national strategic needs.

New demands for international communication

Currently, China faces the challenge of improving communication efficiency in international communication, and needs to tell the Chinese story well and showcase a true and comprehensive national image.
