Since its establishment by Ren Jiyu in 1995, International Sinology has published over a thousand papers and become an important platform for Sinology research. This publication is divided into the editorial period (1995-2013) and the formal journal period (2014 present). Under the editors in chief of Ren Jiyu and Zhang Xiping, the focus of the publication gradually shifted from philosophy, religion, ideological and cultural research to literary and historical research, especially literary research. After 1999, the number of literary research papers increased, and columns such as "Chinese Literature", "Overseas Chinese Literature Research", and "Chinese Language and Literature Research" were opened, but the proportion was only about 12.5%. The types of papers include overview, review, and case studies, such as Li Derui's exploration of Fu and Liu Zhen's comparative study of the story of Mu Lian saving his mother in China and South Korea. At the same time, the publication also focuses on the introduction and interviews of sinologists, such as Gorek and Naoya Uchiyama.
