The importance and current status of research on the history of international Chinese education were explored through interviews. Mr. Bai Lesang emphasized the role of epistemology in studying the history of Chinese communication, based on his own philosophical background. He pointed out that epistemological fractures and obstacles in the development of disciplines are crucial for understanding the process of knowledge generation. He distinguished between the history of the spread of Chinese in France and the history of international Chinese education, believing that the history of dissemination includes broader content such as cultural exchange and personal learning experiences. Mr. Bai Lesang criticized the shortcomings of current research on the history of international Chinese education, including the lack of teachers' historical literacy and the neglect of subject history research, believing that this limits teachers' ability to convey cultural heritage. He suggested that researchers focus on individual learning motivation and textbook history to deepen their understanding of the development of international Chinese education. Mr. Bai Lesang also emphasized the importance of philosophical training in the study of educational history, in order to avoid simply listing historical facts and clarify research positioning. He encourages young scholars to conduct in-depth interviews, record the lives and motivations of sinologists, and evaluate and analyze history textbooks to build a more comprehensive understanding of history.
