Explored the design of primary school English practical homework, aiming to promote the development of students' language abilities. The author proposed three design ideas: "following the light", "growing at the jointing stage", and "rooting on the ground", corresponding to the homework objectives, task practice, and homework evaluation, respectively. The homework objective emphasizes starting from the overall design of the unit, focusing on the unit theme, and clarifying language requirements. The task practice gradually achieves the expected goals with the support of the task list. By creating a practical assignment called "Smiling Breakfast", students can develop creative thinking and problem-solving abilities through comprehensive practical activities, while also improving their English language proficiency. The homework evaluation adopts the "four evaluation advanced" stage, including pre evaluation negotiation, first evaluation value-added, second evaluation encouragement, and third evaluation win-win, aiming to enhance students' language ability and achieve learning through evaluation. Through these designs, English practical assignments can highlight the characteristics of the subject and put students' language ability development into practice.

Tasks such as designing breakfast recipes inspire students' creative thinking and reflect their responsibility and care for their families. Diversified evaluation activities have improved students' self-awareness and critical thinking, enhancing learning efficiency. Through practical assignments, students have gained a deep understanding of the concept of healthy eating, experienced the hardships and joys of labor while designing breakfast for their parents, and cherished and learned to be grateful.
