1、 Introduction

The importance and development process of "Chinese+vocational skills" education were discussed. Emphasis was placed on the importance of practical and utilitarian value in language learning, as well as the implementation of the "Chinese+Vocational Skills" project in over 40 countries and regions. It was mentioned that Vice Premier of the State Council Sun Chunlan emphasized the project at the Confucius Institute Conference and the International Chinese Education Conference. Analyzed the advocacy and support for the "Chinese+Vocational Skills" project in national policy documents. It pointed out the current limited research quantity and the need for further development in theoretical cognition and practical experience. This article aims to present the overall situation of "Chinese+vocational skills" education research by examining relevant research literature in the past five years, summarizing key issues, viewpoints, drawing preliminary conclusions, and proposing future research directions, providing multiple perspectives for the high-quality development of international Chinese education.

2、 Research Overview

An overview of the research on "Chinese+vocational skills" education in the past five years was introduced. Through searching on China National Knowledge Infrastructure, a total of 116 relevant articles were collected, including 96 journal articles, 6 master's theses, and 14 newspaper articles. The literature spans from 2019 to August 30, 2023, and the number of research results has been increasing year by year. The research perspective ranges from the practical exploration of vocational colleges in 2019, to scholars in the field of international Chinese education in universities paying attention to the national strategy of language teaching services in 2020, and to more vocational education researchers joining the "Chinese+vocational skills" research team in 2021, with constantly enriching topics. Starting from 2022, research has entered a rapid development stage, with a rapid increase in the number of literature and significant progress in standard construction. In the journal literature, there are 20 "Peking University Core" source articles, accounting for about 20%; The source of 'CSSCI' is 7 articles, accounting for approximately 7%. In the past five years, the practice of "Chinese+vocational skills" education has shown a development process that has been explored by some vocational colleges and industry associations, strongly supported by the country, and then attracted attention from academia. The number of studies has increased year by year, and the research influence has gradually emerged.

3、 Key research questions and preliminary conclusions

Explored the positioning, origin, connotation, and service direction of "Chinese+vocational skills" education. In the context of internationalization of higher vocational education, "Chinese+vocational skills" education is regarded as an important measure to promote the integrated development of international Chinese education and vocational education. Its origin can be traced back to the practice of foreign aid, the internationalization of vocational education, and the domestic demand for the transformation of Confucius Institutes. This educational model has dual attributes of language teaching and vocational skills teaching, with diverse forms and no unified definition yet. However, researchers have reached a basic consensus on promoting the integration and development of international Chinese education and vocational skills education. The Ministry of Education has explicitly proposed that "Chinese+vocational skills" education should meet the learning needs of different groups for vocational Chinese, serve "going global" enterprises, high-quality development of international Chinese education, cultivation of "Chinese+" composite talents, internationalization of vocational education, and transformation of China's education aid model.

4、 Several issues that require consensus building

Explored the logic, mode, and difficulties of integrating language teaching and vocational skills education in "Chinese+Vocational Skills" education. For different service targets, such as local employees of overseas Chinese enterprises, Confucius Institute students, and domestic vocational education international students, emphasis is placed on the different importance and integration foundation of Chinese language proficiency and vocational skills. Propose that "Chinese+vocational skills" education should address issues such as "emphasizing language over skills" and improve the accuracy of resource allocation. Explored different integration modes, such as the language before technology mode of "Chinese → Chinese+major → major", as well as various practical forms of overseas Confucius Institute students. It is pointed out that the generally low level of Chinese proficiency is a difficulty in integrated development, and solutions such as developing "Industrial Chinese" textbooks and analyzing typical job tasks in enterprise positions are proposed. The literature reflects different understandings of learners' vocational skill levels, the minimum and necessary range of Chinese communication, and the transformation of Chinese from a barrier to a helper.

5、 Reflection on the High Quality Development of International Chinese Education

The reflection on the high-quality development of international Chinese education was discussed, emphasizing the importance of "Chinese+vocational skills" education in the transformation and development of international Chinese education in the new era. Proposed a shift towards professionalization, practicality, and audience segmentation, expanding the target audience, strengthening the exploration and practice of "Chinese+major" and "Chinese+employment", and enhancing the employability of international students studying in China. At the same time, it emphasizes the cultural value and emotional function of learning Chinese, draws on the overseas dissemination experience of other languages, designs a better path for international dissemination of Chinese, and promotes the deepening of Chinese language and Chinese culture.

Summarized the research on "Chinese+Vocational Skills" education from 2019 to 2023, emphasized its necessity and importance, clarified the educational positioning, origin, connotation, and service direction, and pointed out the existing problems. In the future, it is necessary to accelerate the development of teaching resources, standard systems, and teacher training, focus on Chinese language teaching and learning, improve the internationalization level of Chinese language, implement the contribution of vocational skills education to economic development, and enhance global adaptability.
