In the middle, Midosi revealed MJ's true identity as Professor Heng Duanmu, an alumnus of H University and an astrophysicist. Professor Duanmu is suspected of kidnapping Midosi in order to search for the real KB503 meteorite, as the meteorite in the H exhibition hall is a fake. Midosi speculated that Professor Duanmu lost the genuine meteorite during transportation. In order to cover up the truth, he impersonated it with a fake meteorite and gave it to H University as a gift. In order to avoid responsibility, Professor Duanmu planned a meteorite theft case and conspired with Vice President Yuan to use stage designer Shida Meng to carry out the theft. Vice President Yuan also concealed his identity as an internet expert and created the "Pumpkin Carriage" Trojan virus. During the theft, Hong Bin accidentally discovered a secret under the floor and witnessed the crime. He attempted to extort Da Meng, but was ambushed by Principal Yuan. Principal Yuan was worried that Hong Bin had lost too much blood, so he sent WeChat on his phone hoping that someone would discover him, but WeChat was ignored by Hong Bin's cousin. Hong Bin woke up and fled the city.
