AI 摘要

1 Introduction

The importance of language services in major international sports events was emphasized, and the launch and implementation of the "Beijing Winter Olympics Language Services Action Plan" were introduced using the Beijing Winter Olympics as an example. The article points out that the Beijing Winter Olympics has successfully built a collaborative network consisting of the Olympic Organizing Committee, language service system, other business areas, and social support system, overcoming multiple challenges and achieving barrier free communication. At the same time, it is pointed out that existing research focuses more on the micro level and lacks macro level research on cooperative operation models and paths. This study aims to fill this gap by using a system management theory analysis framework to explore the cooperative paths and patterns of language service systems, and proposing the "four body, five dimensional, and three order" model to provide experience and reference for similar events in the future.

2 Literature Review

The literature review focuses on language services and cooperation in large-scale sports events, pointing out that there is relatively little research on this topic, mainly focusing on digital information technology, talent cultivation, and cultural dissemination. The research involves corpus construction, online platforms, volunteer training, sports translation talent cultivation, and cross-cultural communication. The existing literature has not delved into the systematic operation and teamwork of language services during competitions. Translation collaboration research mainly focuses on the collaborative models of translating literary works and classics into English, as well as multi-party cooperation in translation teaching and dissemination. There has been no research specifically focused on language service cooperation for international sports events. Strengthening the research on language service cooperation for major international sports events such as the Beijing Winter Olympics is of great significance for promoting the formulation of relevant policy plans.

3 Analysis Framework: System Management Theory

System management theory regards organizations as independent systems, emphasizing the acquisition of resources from the external environment, internal processing and transformation, and output of results, while interacting with other systems to maintain stable operation. This theory divides the system into five sub systems: target value, management, structure, technology, and social psychology, focusing on operational principles, resource allocation, internal connections, specialized knowledge, and personal behavioral motivation. This study uses system management theory as a framework to analyze the cooperation mode of the language service system of the Beijing Winter Olympics, explore its cooperation path with the event system and peer systems, the content and cooperation methods of internal subsystems, and policy planning recommendations to improve the quality of language service cooperation. The research aims to provide theoretical and practical references for the language service practice and systematic management of major international sports events in the future.

4 Research Design

This chapter introduces the research design, which adopts three methods: literature review, interviews, and questionnaire surveys. Obtain language service related documents through the Winter Olympics Organizing Committee and use MAXQDA for encoding. Conduct in-depth interviews and questionnaire surveys with language service staff and volunteers, focusing on the analysis framework, to examine the work content, cooperation mechanism, and participant opinions of the language service system and its subsystems. The interview was conducted through Tencent Meeting during the epidemic, with a total of 22 people interviewed and over 200000 words written. The questionnaire contains multiple question types and a total of 211 valid questionnaires were obtained, covering 11 language majors from 14 universities in Beijing and Hebei regions. The research conclusions have high representativeness and reliability.

The Cooperation Model of Winter Olympics Language Services from the Perspective of System Management Theory

In depth exploration of the application of system management theory in language service cooperation models in major international sports events, taking the Beijing Winter Olympics as an example. Firstly, the cooperation between the language service system, the event organization system, and peer systems was analyzed, and it was pointed out that the International Olympic Committee and the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games, as external systems, provide resources and operational guidance for the language service system, forming a circular cooperation framework of requirements and guidelines, refined practice, and feedback evaluation. At the same time, the language service system has extensive cooperation with over 50 other business areas, involving demand generation, preparation, review, personnel deployment, technical support, and logistical support.

6 Suggestions for Enhancing Language Service Cooperation during the Winter Olympics

This chapter proposes improvement suggestions for the language service cooperation model for major international sports events, taking the Beijing Winter Olympics as an example. Firstly, the importance of strengthening language service user education was emphasized to enhance the recognition of the value of language services in competitions. Secondly, it is recommended to collaborate in developing language service resources and tools for sports events, such as establishing a comprehensive language service resource platform, integrating multilingual sports event terminology databases and corpora, and optimizing multilingual speech recognition technology. In addition, it is proposed to improve the language service task allocation mechanism and establish a service quality monitoring and evaluation system to enhance the quality and efficiency of cooperation. At the same time, it emphasizes the necessity of establishing a smooth communication mechanism for language services, improving cooperation efficiency, and enhancing the level of information sharing. It is also recommended to promote physical fitness training and mental health guidance to enhance the physical and mental health of language service personnel. Finally, it is proposed to deepen interdisciplinary and cross system cooperation, strengthen the training of professional and emergency language service talents for competitions, in order to meet professional and emergency needs.

Construction of Language Service Cooperation Models for 7 Major International Sports Events: Four Sports, Five Dimensions, and Three Levels

Explored the "Four Body, Five Dimensional, and Three Order" cooperation model based on system management theory, aiming to provide an efficient framework for the language service system of major international sports events such as the Beijing Winter Olympics. The "four sports" include the International Olympic Committee, the Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, the language service system, and the social support system, which together constitute a closely cooperating entity. The "Five Dimensions" encompass five subsystems: target value, management, structure, technology, and social psychology, which are both independent and interconnected in cooperation. The "Three Stages" can be divided into three stages from a historical perspective: pre competition, mid competition, and post competition, each with its own key cooperation mode. The pre competition stage focuses on the preparation of target values, management, and technical systems, while the mid competition stage emphasizes the practical operation of technology, structure, and social psychological systems. The post competition stage focuses on information sharing and experience summarization, providing reference for future competitions.

8 Conclusion

By analyzing the language service cooperation of the Beijing Winter Olympics through system management theory, a "four body, five dimensional, and three-level" model is proposed, which has theoretical and practical significance. The study has clarified the operation mode of internal subsystems and the focus of cooperation at different stages, providing reference for language services in future large-scale international sports events.
