1、 Teaching background

Based on the "Curriculum Standards for Moral and Legal Education in Compulsory Education (2022 Edition)", teaching is designed to enable students to understand the system of the People's Congress and its superiority. The textbook analysis points out that the fifth lesson of the third unit of the eighth grade second volume of "Morality and Rule of Law" published by People's Education Press is the teaching foundation, emphasizing the importance of the People's Congress system. Analysis of the learning situation found that students have limited understanding of the People's Congress system and need to deepen their understanding through teaching. As a teaching tool, mind maps help clarify teaching objectives and promote students' identification with the fundamental political system of the country.

2、 Core competency objectives

Emphasis was placed on five core literacy goals: political identity, moral cultivation, rule of law, sound personality, and sense of responsibility. Require students to understand the importance of the People's Congress system, master its content and functions, and enhance their knowledge, skills, and problem-solving abilities through case analysis. At the same time, cultivate students' ability to observe and analyze, as well as their sense of ownership, and contribute to the construction of socialist democracy.

Emphasis was placed on the core position of the People's Congress system and how to highlight its importance in teaching. At the same time, it discussed how to overcome and solve the difficult problems in the practical practice of adhering to and improving the system of people's congresses in the teaching process.

4、 Teaching methods

This article introduces the application of topic based teaching method in the teaching of "fundamental political system", emphasizing the use of controversial and discussion worthy topics to stimulate students' interest and participation. During the teaching process, teachers guide students to conduct in-depth discussions around the topic, encourage them to put forward their own opinions and conduct arguments, in order to cultivate students' critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. At the same time, teachers should provide timely feedback and guidance to help students understand and master the relevant knowledge of political systems.

5、 Teaching process

Introduce the study of the People's Congress system through playing videos and teacher guidance. Through the exploration of three sub topics, we aim to gain a deeper understanding of how the system of people's congresses embodies the principle of the people being the masters of the country, its superiority, and how to uphold and improve it. Sub topic 1: By watching videos and reading materials, students can understand the generation and powers of National People's Congress deputies, as well as the relationship between the National People's Congress and other state organs. Sub topic two aims to help students recognize the superiority of the People's Congress system from a practical perspective through reading materials and group discussions. Subtopic Three: By reading materials on constitutional amendments and completing a mind map, students will learn how to uphold and improve the system of people's congresses. After class homework requires students to combine the 14th Five Year Plan and hometown development to complete a representative proposal, deepen their understanding of the People's Congress system, and apply relevant knowledge.
