The national "Safety Production Month" in June 2023 emphasizes the importance of safety production, aiming to enhance public safety awareness and emergency response capabilities. Safe production is a fundamental national policy that ensures the safety and health of workers, national property, and promotes the development of social productive forces. Since its adoption in 2002, the Work Safety Law of the People's Republic of China has undergone three revisions aimed at strengthening work safety, reducing accidents, and ensuring the safety of people's lives and property. This law stipulates the safety production responsibilities of production and operation units, the rights and obligations of employees, as well as the supervision and management of safety production and emergency response to accidents. The main person in charge of production and operation units is the first person responsible for safety production, and employees have the right to obtain safety guarantees and should fulfill relevant obligations. The country has also established safety signs and safety color standards to convey safety information. During the Safety Production Month, schools and other institutions will carry out relevant activities. For young people, understanding and participating in these activities is crucial for improving safety awareness.
