An in-depth analysis was conducted on the content of the lesson "Entering Neighborhood Committees and Village Committees" in the textbook "Ethics and Rule of Law", emphasizing its role as a bridge between the previous and subsequent topics. It not only continues the knowledge of the first two thematic units, but also opens up discussions on grassroots democratic systems. Through teaching, the aim is to enable students to fully understand the system of grassroots mass autonomy, recognize its importance in safeguarding the basic rights of the people, and enhance their confidence in the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and political identification with the leadership of the Party.

2、 Analysis of Learning Situation

Eighth grade students have limited understanding of the grassroots self governance system and need to enhance their awareness of social participation through teaching, deepen their understanding of grassroots democratic systems, and recognize the superiority of socialist democracy with Chinese characteristics.

3、 Teaching objectives

Emphasis was placed on four aspects of teaching objectives: firstly, the core position of the Party's leadership in grassroots democratic systems, as well as the importance of neighborhood and village committees as autonomous organizations under the leadership of Party organizations, in order to enhance students' political identity. Secondly, the nature of the neighborhood (village) committee and its relationship with grassroots political power were introduced, aiming to enhance students' legal awareness and concept of the rule of law. Thirdly, an in-depth exploration was conducted on the emergence, functions, and supervision mechanisms of neighborhood (village) committees, in order to understand the role of grassroots self governance system in safeguarding people's rights, and to cultivate students' sense of social responsibility and service awareness. Finally, by understanding the significance of grassroots democratic systems, students have deepened their understanding of the superiority of socialist democracy with Chinese characteristics, and further strengthened their political identity in adhering to the leadership of the Party.

4、 Teaching key and difficult points

This chapter emphasizes the core goal of teaching, which is to enable students to understand the emergence, functions, and supervision mechanisms of neighborhood (village) committees, and recognize the importance of grassroots self governance systems in safeguarding the basic rights of the people. The teaching difficulty lies in how to make students deeply understand these concepts and connect them with real life.

5、 Teaching process

Detailed explanation of the teaching process in the teaching design of "Entering Neighborhood Committees and Village Committees". Firstly, the teacher divided the students into four small groups. The visiting group was responsible for interviewing members of the neighborhood committee and recording videos, while the other three groups conducted social surveys, focusing on topics such as the formation, role, and participation of residents in activities related to members of the neighborhood or village committee. The classroom interactive session includes situational introduction, in-depth exploration, and topic debate, aiming to guide students to understand the relationship between neighborhood committees, village committees, and party organizations, clarify their non-state agency nature, and deepen their understanding of the grassroots self governance system through video materials and survey results display. Finally, by discussing the importance of neighborhood and village committees, enhancing students' political identity, and assigning exploratory assignments, students are encouraged to provide suggestions for community development. The entire teaching design aims to enhance students' understanding of grassroots democratic systems, cultivate their sense of social responsibility and awareness of serving society through practical activities and classroom interaction.
