It tells the story of the teacher-student relationship between the author and Mr. Huang Guozhen. The author was admitted to Beijing Foreign Languages Institute Affiliated High School to study German in 1960. Although Mr. Huang Guozhen did not directly teach the author, as the head of the German Department's basic course teaching, he often came to the Affiliated High School to understand the teaching situation, which gave the author a preliminary understanding of Mr. Huang. In 1963, the author was admitted to study German at Beijing Foreign Studies University through an oral examination conducted by Professor Huang. During his university years, Professor Huang served as the author's intensive reading teacher, and was deeply loved by students for his vivid and humorous teaching style and amiable personality charm. Teacher Huang not only strictly demands students academically, but also cares about their lives and thoughts, becoming a good teacher and friend to them. In 1968, the author and his classmates went to the People's Liberation Army Farm in Baigezhuang, Tangshan for labor training. As the leading teacher, Teacher Huang shared weal and woe with the students and set an example. In 1970, the author was assigned to the Education Commission of Gansu Province and later transferred to the Department of Foreign Languages of Lanzhou University. In 1986, Teacher Huang made a special trip to Lanzhou to visit the author, and the teacher-student relationship was able to continue. After the author retired, he worked with Professor Huang at the Beijing Foreign Studies University Training Institute for many years. Professor Huang's academic achievements and teaching spirit have always been a role model for the author. Mr. Huang's vision declined in his later years, but he always maintained an optimistic attitude and fought against the disease. The author's nostalgia and admiration for Teacher Huang are beyond words.
