The impact of national policies and curriculum standards on English teaching and evaluation reform was discussed, emphasizing the importance of developing students' core competencies and diversifying teaching evaluation. The article shares the application of formative assessment scales in primary school English picture book reading teaching, the design and implementation of performance evaluation for overall reading and writing teaching of middle school English units, and the exploration of integrated practice of high school English teaching, learning, and evaluation through three cases. These cases demonstrate the evaluation concept of promoting learning through evaluation, teaching through evaluation, and student participation, aiming to promote education managers, teachers, students, and parents to jointly think about the issue of evaluation serving learning and allowing students to participate as the main body of evaluation.
