The importance of the English learning activity perspective in cultivating core competencies was emphasized, and the relationship between overall goals, different dimensions, overall paths, and specific plans was explained through the metaphor of fitness. Identified the problems in current classroom teaching practices, such as the lack of specific plans and implementation. Reviewed the improvement, inheritance, reflection, and innovation of the "2017 Edition of the General High School English Curriculum Standards" since its implementation six years ago. Through the exploration of the "Hot Topics and Perspectives" column, the aim is to trigger a renewed understanding of the fundamental role of classroom teaching activities.
