Emphasis was placed on the requirements of the "Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standards (2022 Edition)" for English teaching, especially the importance of integrated listening and speaking teaching. It pointed out the problems in the current integrated teaching evaluation of listening and speaking in the cultivation of learning ability, including the lack of evaluation, vague evaluation indicators, and a single evaluation process. Based on this, the paper proposes a set of evaluation indicators for integrating middle school English listening and speaking teaching aimed at cultivating learning abilities, and demonstrates the design and implementation of the evaluation through case studies, in order to promote the development of students' core competencies.

Firstly, starting from the analysis of the learning situation, based on the students' foundation and needs, determine the points for learning improvement. Next, delve into the teaching text and design integrated listening and speaking teaching objectives from three aspects: What, Why, and How. Then, referring to the learning ability objectives of the "Curriculum Standards", design evaluation indicators, including three levels: learning happily and learning well, selection adjustment, and collaborative exploration. Finally, guiding the implementation of teaching evaluation through evaluation indicators effectively enhances students' listening and speaking learning abilities. The evaluation indicators are detailed in Table 1.

Firstly, the evaluation of learning ability aimed at "enjoying learning and being good at learning" was introduced, emphasizing that teachers should design language practice activities that involve multiple senses, allowing students to experience the joy of learning English in rich and interesting contexts and enhance their sense of learning efficacy. Through teaching clips from the first volume of Grade 8 of the Foreign Language Research Edition, this article demonstrates how to guide students to experience multisensory language practice activities through real-life scenario creation, video input, and teacher-student dialogue, and provide positive feedback through real-time evaluation.
